My boss was telling me about a white water rafting trip her teenage daughter went on.  Her favorite part of the trip? Not having cell service.  She said it was “amazing” having people look at you when you talked to them, giving their full attention, because they weren’t texting the whole time.

I think that technology is a wonderful tool - but it’s become such a part of our lives that an 18 year old kid has never socialized with friends without texting - and that is a shame because life is all about the connections we make.
